At the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business, the Marketing and Communications team managed a wide range of responsibilities. As a member of the web team, my primary focus was maintaining and updating the website through our ticketing system, while ensuring all pages remained accessible and user-friendly for a diverse audience.
I had the opportunity to be part of the team during a pivotal time, as the school underwent both a name change and a major design overhaul. This allowed me to contribute to several redesign projects, adapting existing pages to align with the updated, modernized visual identity.
My day-to-day responsibilities involved managing requests submitted through our ticketing platform, Footprints, which converted client emails into actionable tickets, working on projects handed to me directly from my supervisor, or using SiteImprove to check our webpages accessibility and SEO. I would claim tickets and handle a variety of tasks—ranging from updating text and images to designing new pages and implementing full-page redesigns. While the bulk of my work involved updating content and images, I also took on several redesigns and new page builds, which gave me the opportunity to work more creatively and collaboratively.
One of the first projects I undertook after joining the business school was designing a standardized layout for all short-term program pages — a layout that is still in use today. I was given creative freedom to develop the structure, with a focus on creating a user-friendly and visually engaging experience.
My concept featured a hero banner showcasing the destination city, giving prospective students a visual preview of the study abroad experience. I kept the program details clear and concise to ensure easy readability. The web team had developed a library of prebuilt CSS components within the Cascade CMS, which I used extensively throughout the page. However, for the “Important Dates” section, I wanted a distinct visual style that wasn’t available in the existing components. To achieve this, I custom-coded that section to match my vision. This page also includes a unique itinerary dropdown feature that I designed.
This ticket requested the creation of a new webpage to serve as the homepage for a case competition. The goal was to provide a central location where interested parties could access key information about the event. I was provided with a general outline of the desired content, and from there, I developed the layout through iterative design and testing. I focused on creating a clean, user-friendly design that emphasized clarity and ease of navigation.
Often, I’m provided with documents and tasked with creating a design that presents the information clearly and engagingly — avoiding a text-heavy layout. For this particular project, I was asked to design a biography page that displayed detailed information in a clean and visually appealing way. I chose to use interactive flip cards to present each biography, as this format allowed for a more compact, organized layout that maintained readability while accommodating the longer text.
A student at Indiana University approached me to design a flyer that would introduce new students to the excitement of INSPIRE Welcome Week.
The goal was to create a design that was clear, engaging, and easy to follow. I began the layout in Figma, collaborating with the client to establish a theme that captured the welcoming and energetic spirit of the program. Together, we focused on organizing the schedule in a way that balanced both structure and visual appeal.
Once the overall concept was approved, I transitioned to Photoshop to finalize the design. Key features included bold daily headings, distinct sections for program-specific and university-wide events, and a prominent QR code for quick access to updates. The final flyer highlighted a variety of activities — from games and creative sessions to campus tours and bonding events — all presented in a cohesive and accessible format.
My client was a pageant contestant that wanted a website for her charity foundation.

I initially began this project during my senior year of high school but was unable to complete it due to the pandemic. This version represents a reimagining of the original concept, updated to reflect my current skills and experience.
